Powered Roller Conveyors

Our heavy-duty Powered Roller Conveyors use a Chain-Driven Live Roller (CDLR) design with roller-to-roller drive chains protected by removable formed chain guards. Variable-speed electric drives are joystick-controlled for smooth, precise operation. 

Steel Storage Systems offers customization options — including custom drive chains, clutched motors, and measuring systems that can be built to your workflow specifications to provide safe and efficient material handling. Systems over 96″ wide and up to 200′ long are available to support processes like shot blasting, or can be equipped with tilt plates, pivoting frames, and automated functions.

Roller Conveyor Sections for Accessibility and Flow Control

We offer several specialized conveyor sections to increase layout flexibility and improve throughput: 

• A Moveable Idler Roller Conveyor Section rolls in and away on a track to accommodate a pivoting miter saw while maintaining the ability to transfer short pieces. 

• A Turntable-Powered Section rotates material 90-degrees for directional changes. 

• A Live Roller Conveyor Pivot Section lifts 90-degrees vertically to create a temporary aisle. 

All CDLR Conveyors are supplied with a pre-wired control panel and operator console designed to facility voltage and operation. 

For greater efficiency, Transfer Conveyors, Load and Discharge Systems, Push-Bar Ejectors, and Load Rails can be integrated to further support flow, accumulation, and efficient staging.
