Powered and Idler Roller Conveyors

Steel Storage Systems’ Chain-driven powered roller conveyors (CDLR) are ideal for moving heavy product automatically between processes, while our Idler roller conveyors provide smooth, reliable staging and accumulation for manual or gravity-fed movement.

Our material handling conveyors are available in both standard heavy-duty conveyor systems and extreme-duty builds. Each conveyor is customized for your specific application — roller widths, spacing, capacities, and lengths are all engineered to match your workflow.

CDLR systems are recommended when powered transfer is essential for moving heavy product between operations, while idler conveyors are ideal for staging, accumulation, and transfer by manual or gravity feed.

Chain Transfer and Cross Conveyors

Chain Transfer Conveyors and Cross Conveyors provide smooth, lateral movement of material across roller conveyor systems. These components allow for continuous, uninterrupted staging, discharge, and accumulation between processing stations.

Chain transfer conveyors are ideal for high-throughput operations with limited floor space, while cross conveyors are best suited for shared multi-process lines such as beam fabrication or saw infeed/outfeed.

Both are available in lift-and-carry or lift-and-transfer designs, integrating seamlessly with your existing material handling systems. Each is engineered as part of our custom conveyor solutions to maximize throughput and safety.

Bar and Pipe Loading and Discharge Conveyors

Our Load and Discharge Systems offer an economical, gravity-assisted alternative to powered transfer conveyors for round material applications. Designed for pipe loaders, tube loaders, and bar handling, these material loading systems use inclined skids and a hydraulic lifting pawl to stage and feed material directly onto your conveyor. 

At discharge, our Push-Bar Ejector quickly clears cut lengths from the outfeed conveyor, placing them onto skids for removal. Together, these solutions improve efficiency and keep production lines running without interruption. 

These systems are ideal when space is tight and automation needs are moderate. For round stock applications, they provide a reliable and efficient approach to material handling that supports continuous operation. 

Powered and Manual Measuring Systems

For operations requiring precise cut lengths or batching, we offer two types of integrated Saw measuring systems: 

• The Heavy-Duty Powered Workstop features automated controls for positioning, clamping, and digital readout, ideal for high-volume or repetitive cutting applications. 

• The Light-Duty Manual Workstop offers a sliding stop aligned with a tape measure, perfect for more flexible or varied cuts. 

Both integrate directly into our material handling conveyor systems, providing enhanced accuracy, operator safety, and workflow consistency.
